A guide to uploading images and signatures

I've noticed countless people have problems uploading signatures and attaching images into their posts.

(I apologies for overwhelming block text)

Attaching an image

Its very basic, first of all there are about 3 types of images people will want to upload

1. Uploading an image saved to their computer.
this can be done via

a) 'Manage attachments' in additional options

b) Uploading it to a third party website and posting the image code

The link options they give you wont always contain the wraps, so that moves me on to the next point

2. Inserting an image without uploading it

you can take almost any image and take its source by right clicking the image and selecting

http://i27.tinypic.com/5ovwv7.png

This will take the image location and put it in your paste tray where all you need to to is right click and paste or use ctrl v

The option may not always be called this, you can also use the view image option and just take the URL.

Once you have the image location you can ether use the insert image button > [IMG]http://www.uogamers.com/forum/essential/editor/insertimage.gif <

or type out the image wraps your self http://The link/image location like so

Uploading an image into your signature

First of all ill go through the basic signature rules

No larger than 300k
No larger than 125 height and 600 wide
No more than two lines of text (this includes the formatting such as
Then all you need to do is insert the image in the various ways shown above (I would advise against using any other option other than using option 2 and image codes)

All other boxes should be empty

I hope this is helpful, makes sense and not too overwhelming ^_^
