I'm a little confused about something. I read through the event explination page and have one question.
Are the grey gates that open in major cities prior to the event the only way to get to the event hall? So that means that we all sign up right before the event, right?

Event gates are opened usually 5-10 minutes before the event starts to allow time for players to signup. Spectators can watch 1v1s and 2v2s, but not the more arena based events, ctf, br, ffa.
In game annoucements will say when the event gates are opened. These events are also announced in the IRC #demise channel.
