At a glance, in RunUO looks like candles are correct:
I have these tier passages:
level 2 -> 6 candles
level 3 -> 10 candles
level 4 -> 14 candles

A thing not OSI-like is here changes are always on that number. And boss is always "level 17" -> 16 candles + 1 candle more.

Instead, what I found different, is the number of kills.
In RunUO/Demise, each number of kills per level is 250 - (12 * level). This means:
250 kills without candle
238 with 1 candle
226 with 2 candles
.....
178 with 6 candles
166 with 7 candles
.....
82 with 14 candles
70 with 15 candles
58 with 16 candles

So, I don't see anything different about number of candles, but in OSI champs should be faster to complete. Or better, more longer in first tiers and less longer in last ones.

u r right daedalus, the only different s how much mobs u must kill to up 1 candle.

Flagged as ready as I have known it was included in "megadiff corrections".

I don't remember details of the patch, but number of kills should remain unaltered... as things are now, it would make champs easier, while in OSI they are harder due to the better AI.
Instead, tiers will change 1 candle before. One level 4 tier more.

Daed, which Champs change at 6/10/14 red candles and which champs change at 5/9/13 now? or is it random?

(sorry, I have no idea how this works on OSI)

in OSI there is a bit of randomness...

anyway, now they are all 5/9/13. A level 4 tier more.
Consider though, in Demise/RunUO there is a chance to get a candle also if you are in the range 90%-99.9% of kills.

Huge change. With the RunUO system now you will have to kill 94 extra Hiryus/Onis...
