Music Thread

The other one disappeared into VB twilight zone, thank god. I think someone quoted Mars Volta in there (I'm looking at you, Pwnography :mad:)

In this thread I give you permission to quote any of your favorite youtube videos/songs. If we work together and keep this thread clean of talentless hacks and one show ponys I predict this thread will live long and prosper.

Let's start with my awesome suggestions;

Re: Music Thread

I'm not sure what prompted me to think about this, but for the past week or so, I've been trying to figure out my 5 all-time favorite songs. Here's what I got:

Helloween - Keeper of the Seven Keys (Couldn't find a video of the whole song on youtube, so here is the first eleven minutes and here is the last six and a half minutes. There's a good deal of overlap between the two videos, so listen through the entire first one, then start the second one at ~3:55. Or just find an mp3 of it. I know this is kinda a pain in the ass, but trust me, its worth it.)

Ensiferum - Victory Songs

Blind Guardian - Nightfall

The Velvet Underground - Heroin

Metal Church - In Harm's Way

Other songs I rate very highly:

Queen - March of the Black Queen

Dan Swano - Add Reality

Blind Guardian - And Then There Was Silence

Iron Maiden - Seventh Son of a Seventh Son

The Doors - The End (Couldn't find the album version on youtube, so this is a live version.)

Pink Floyd - In the Flesh

Megadeth - Holy Wars... The Punishment Duehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SH2DNAB0Qo

Re: Music Thread

I just got back from a bar that we watched a guy play Castlevania: Dracula's castle, in less then an hour, while the Megaband played the musiv. Twas Awesomre.

You can find them on youtube as well under Megaband, I believe, if your interested.

I'd say this is Amon Amarth's best, and this is Death's best. Never really listened to Vader so I can't comment there.

By the way, I saw Amon Amarth live a couple weeks ago and it was FUCKING AWESOME. Of the 3 opening bands, two were pretty good (Lazarus A.D. and Goatwhore) and one completely blew me away (Skeletonwitch). And Amon Amarth themselves were of course awesome.

Yep. Death best album imho is "sound of perseverance"
but yeah the philosopher is perfect example of what Death is/was = perfect

but i did travel to see Vader, and Napalm death,
