Considering the Summer solstice was June 21st, I don't think we are having an event

Be patient guys. There might not be a 'solstice' event since the solstice is over, but there have been summer festivals later in the year like August. In 2014, the summer festival was August 19. I just checked the Shard Events thread.

EDIT:: Maybe the new quest line will open the festival grounds, like the witch thing for Halloween town in the past.
