depends on if u use razor or not..if u use razor i can show u a macro i use that will GM stealing in like an hour or two or not u'll have to do it manually..do the pack horse trick..get a pack horse put something like an instrument worked for me in those level and say "all guard" or "all guard me" or u'll turn criminal and get whacked in town otherwise...anyway w/ razor the job is quite ez..w/out u'll have to
attempt to steal the item then successful or failed steal..u pick up the item from its current location..drop it into ur own backpack..then drop it back into the horse then back into ur backup then back into horse..this resets the stealing on the item..and allows u to get a gain from stealing the same item again...

Well, what is a good raise to raise stealing from 50.00 to 70.00?
I have a few characters with steal and the best method I have found thus far is to use a packhorse and a pouch and some fishsteaks. You can use anything stackable in place of the fishsteaks, like bottles, bandages, etc. Place the steaks in the pouch and place the pouch on the packhorse. Razor speeds things up quite a bit, but it's not necessary. Steal the pouch from the packhorse, then give it back. If you can succeed every time, add a steak or two more. Do this all the way up until it says, "That is too heavy for you to steal." or something like that, take a steak out so you can still attempt to steal it. Then just keep stealing that bad boy all the way to GM.

Even easier, cheaper and safer way...

Go somewhere in town thats quiet, like an NPC house, anywhere that has a bookshelf/chest/etc. Put your bag of items in said container and make a razor macro to steal the bag, drag bag, put back in container, pause. You won't turn grey and it won't mess up unless somebody comes along and takes the bag. Simply add more items to the bag to adjust weight as you gain skills.

Need to be 7 days old to join the Thieve's guild and imo is a really stupid rule for a shard with this kind of skill gain rate. I complete finished making my character in only a couple days of macroing and had to spend the next 5 doing nothing but bugging people. It can still be rather profitable...picking up regs off the ground from players buying too many off faction vendors, looting people in high PvP areas, finding IDOCs, doing escorts, etc. I made enough for my first house from just doing misc things like that while waiting on being able to join the guild. After that was when the real profit came tho ^^
