your best 5k run

I've gotten mine down to 19-22 mins depending on if I walk at all. I'm thinking about running some races. Any of you run 5 or 10ks? Anything special that you do to prepare?

1. bring water- drinking water along the run helps you body absorb water rapidly which you will need for longer runs
2. alternate long runs and short runs
3. you only need to train about 50% to 65% of the distance you want to finish
4. you want to max out about 21-14 days before the race than shorten the work load the two weeks prior to the race
