Who is the best pvper in Hybrid history.....

Ras appeared out of the void (after a year or 3) a couple months back w/auto pot kicking in full swing and signed up for a fairly well attended 2v2. He teamed w/a scrub dexxer he didn't know from jack and proceeded to dominate until the final. Gave 'em all they could handle until eventually losing to 2 practiced guys in call. I was impressed. That cat is pretty fucking good imho.

Ras is the best pvper in hybrid history no doubt about it.

I'm still around if you want to test that theory. Just because I've put your dick in the dirt countless and countless times, doesn't mean you have to be a hard ass and not give credit where it's due.

there's no right answer to this thread... almost all of the names listed here are people who started playing in '06 or later, after the core PvPing groups that set the tone for this server's playstyle had already evaporated. we made jokes about it then, but looking back '06 really was the year that split two definite eras on hybrid. so all the names i'd list would be people you've never heard of... but here are a few, in no particular order, and totally off the top of my head, all pre-2006:

droopy (when focused)
tanis (when strong like bull)

i think if i had to pick just one for all-around ability and straightforward no-rage-just-competition pvp mentality, it would be esk

also it's worth noting that my own name was in consideration and did not make the cut... i hung around and participated with all these guys, and kept up fine... but i didn't really stand out until after they had left, and even then have never considered myself the best at anything on here. i'm good, but my legacy on this server doesn't involve a single facet of involvement or impressive capability. i was just a great guild whore with connections and a friendly attitude

not to say there aren't some great PvPers who started after that era... but folks like slip, raserei, rambone, dany mortal never really competed with the others during that period so i dunno how they'd stack up. raserei is definitely one of the better players the server has seen, too bad he never got a chance to compete with those guys. and i can't put heavy smoker on this list cuz he was on dialup through that era, plus he might still suck now (haven't seen him fight) :p

Esk,pax.ironfist,wu gambino, UC was good but I don't think he was top notch. Maybe in field calling and team fights yea.

Uh i've beaten everyone on that list with no issues.. no one that has been mentioned in this thread can beat me back to back to back... The only people worth mentioning as "top pvpers" without having to use modified programs would probably be someone like Jobe... Just because someone can 5x, or maybe someone is good at 2v2 does not mean they are "the best"... I've beaten everyone consistantly 5x, alchy, 7x, healer mage, 2v2, 3v3, 1v1, 5v1 whatever you want to list and i'll still do it.


Yes Pat I will take you up on that offer. I'll heal 3 of 3 no problem rofl, then I'll kill you and your gay buddy thats casting spells on me.

this thread is funny. props to those that recognize those players that are good at the pee vee pee. to those that say they are the best, if you had proven that, people would be shouting your name in this thread.

anyways, there is not a single best pvper, never has, never will be. each person has something that another person doesn't. which is good, it keeps the playing field open, and keeps pvp fun!

You don't actually believe that do you? You have always been the poster child for a mediocre player. You are not exceptionally good at any part of pvp. Will you be on tonight so I can show you just how much you still suck?

I gotta say as a group. Shini,Dwayne,Mickey Munday, and Neon Whistle are beast. When those four guys are online they just mow through people. I have watched those guy's actually win fight's 4V10 before bola tamer's became so OP. I would put those 4 guys against any old school crew of 4 any day of the week.
