Sad. I'm glad all of my UO account info has nothing to do with any of my other email/forum account usernames or passwords.


I don't think I have ever had to relog into the forums.

It happened to me a few times.

If you run adaware, remove any cookies, switch browser, it will ask you to relog once in a while. But it's always good to be wary and careful to where you enter your infos.

Chances are he wont get far with just a forum about, but it's possible people use the same name/username and passwords on both.

thats the guy who ACTULLY got my wifes account yesterday night. he made off with two pet summoning balls and 3k each reg.

We have been watching this guy for a few days.

I have been combating this in a few ways:

1. Rewriting the images when he sources them from us.
2. Reporting the sites to the host.

If you fell for his phishing scam you should change your passwords for any accounts that use the same password that you entered into the form. I have heard reports of him accessing e-mail accounts when he was able to use the same password. If he obtained access to your e-mail account then you should change any passwords that might be stored in messages in your e-mail account.

If you have sustained any damages as a result of his fraud you can certainly file a complaint with the FBI Cybercrimes division here: Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) | Home

We know who he is, where he lives, his IP address; we would be more than happy to assist in any prosecution.

We can also take less drastic measures and report him to his ISP and attempt to have his service disconnected for violation of his AUP.

yeah, this guy must be some 1337 haxxer or something. I bet he steals myspace accounts in his spare time.

Thats somewhat self explanatory yes, go file a report with the FBI and get this guy punished.

If you fell for his fraud and he obtained your forum password it logically follows that if you use that same password for your game accounts, e-mail accounts, myspace accounts, etc, then he could potentially access them if he knew the account names.
