Default Re: Demise Rules and Server Information (Updated: June 23, 2009) - 06-23-2009
Trade Forum Specific Rule
Do not bump your message, or have someone bump your message, no less than three days after the original posting date or last bump date. Individuals who bump their threads illegally will be reprimanded and may have their thread removed.

Please be advised:
Just because you don't use the word "bump" doesn't mean it's okay to do it. There is a difference between useless posts done for the sake of trying to evade the no bumping rule, and posting relevant updates such as directly answering a question which has been asked. Of course, this only applies within reason. If a moderator sees you reply multiple times to your own post, and the content is questionable, expect your thread to be deleted.

A note on editing: Some folks seem to think that it is okay to bump their thread constantly by saying "oh I've edited the original list" or reply to every offer. No dice. Perhaps this could be overlooked if it fits into the 3 days later rule, but otherise here's how you let people know you've edited your list:

* axe of omguberness [ SOLD ]
* bow of wtfleetness
* bandana of frogs

If your post has been up there for awhile and has had no replies, either nobody wants what you are selling or you need to try offering a better deal.

This rule must also clarify that you are not to simply repost a new message selling the same items less than 72 hours (3 days) from your first message. This is nothing more than a glorified bump which causes more forum clutter than is necessary. If you have an item that has not sold in 3 days, you may want to consider altering your post to make it more desirable. For example, being more specific about what you wish to recieve for it, or lowering your asking price.
