How do you make your UO Gold?

I am curious as to how players acquire their wealth in-game. Now I do realize that alot of people might have a few secrets that they don't want to disclose, which is fine...but please....don't post in this thread any Bullshit......If players respond in the right way, this thread may be able to give players some suggestions as to building their UO wealth....I will go first

#1 - I use an Animal Tamer to farm gold off of monsters.....I recall around and hit certain high level monster spots in the game... I can average about 50k an hour doing this, if I avoid reds and other people camping my recall spots.

#2 - I have a Treasure Hunter that I use to do Treasure Maps with....doing the maps solo, I can make alot of gold, but I die alot more, and the risk of being harassed by other players increases. I took a tamer friend with me the other day, and we knocked out several maps in about a 2 hour time period, and after we were through, we had gathered about 150k in gold, along with a ton of weapons, regs, etc...

#3 - I have a Vendor that I sell misc things on, he usually nets me about 10k a day during the week, and about twice that on the weekends....after paying rent for the location, he probably nets me about 100k a week.

Now before I submit this, I am gonna list a few things that people seem to be making money on, but I have no knowledge about.

#1 - Playing Poker
#2 - Selling Trained Nightmares, Dragons, etc...
#3 - Scamming people (Enter Scam here)
#4 - Landlord (charging people gold for vendor placement)

There it is.....How about it everyone? How do you make your UO income?

Mostly PKing, and the occasional duel for cash. I play poker once in a blue moon, but I break even if I'm lucky. PvM bores me and rares don't interest me. I've never been concerned with having more than enough to buy a house, decorate it with some simple furniture and containers, and stock it with PvP supplies. I've donated before, and raised enough money to buy a tower and a couple of other smaller houses, and that was enough. So from then on, it was just subsistence PKing.

I neglected to refresh those houses and lost them, and now all I have is a small tower in an okay location. It's still subsistence PKing now. I'd like to get another tower, but don't realistically expect I'll have the 5 mil+ they go for unless I decide to donate again.

I started out making a crafter who gathered resources. Cloth,Leather,Ignots,Boards, and Meat. I sold these for a while and had enough money to make a tamer. I farmed Titans and Litches for wands and gold making 100k a day and around 250k at the end of the week from wands. Also trained mares in spare time while i gathered resources. made a couple of millions and headed to the poker table and just play till i get lucky =D

About same here, although I still do escorts/mining and fishing/MIB: most of the money were made from fluffy robe (10m) that I bought xmas boxes (500k) using poker jackport (1.4m) and Bod selling (10m) ... kinda hard to keep track how much I made doing pvm or doing other stuff, although Trading at the Fair did net me around (3m).

probally should add #5 Trading #6 IDOC #7 banksitting (handouts)

I would think most lucrative would be #3 scam (lost 3m in one day to 4FS sync at a bank and he was doing that to several other people for around 8m that week... and noticed (Noto) did some major damage Scam buy/selling (plot/lock/steal/kill) agapite runic hammer at least 2 times for (8m) in the last 2-3weeks.
or maybe #6 IDOC if you get lucky or in an idoc guild.
then #4,#5 and #7 I missed deluca sandals (8m) by 5 sec and mika apron (2m) by 5minutes
I would rank poker last since you could easily make or lose a bundle.

Buisness.

I find discount items to buy, and resell them on my vendor for going price or slightly above, depending how much I pay. I usually AIM for a 10-25% profit on each thread.

The income fluctuates depending on how many deals I can get in a week. I'm not too steady, I could make a lot more money if I dedicate myself to it, but I simply don't have the time to. So I just grab when I can and put it on the vendor.

Since I don't have enough time to PVP/Pk or whatever else, it's the only money raiser I'll do. As far as poker goes, I'm a fish but I enjoy playing.

I've made most of my money flipping houses. Like Once I bought two houses right next to each other for 200k and 150k from two different people and then sold them both as a package for 3.5 mil to a guy who owned a third house in the same clearing.

Funny thing was that he was doing it to try and place a 18x18 that he was convinced would fit and ended up with only a 13x14 if I remember correctly.

Another time I bought two houses for 600k as a package and sold them each for 1 mil to members of a nearby guild of weird people who couldnt speak proper english.

I think I've just kinda got lucky with the house thing though.

I also sell anything I find laying around thats worth something or if i find something for sale for cheap I will buy and resell it.

I used to craft things and put them on a vendor as well. I would just macro things over night.
