I'm looking to buy a new comp...

But I really don't know what I'm getting into.

Fuck Dell/Gateway/MDG. I don't want anything to do with these corporate turds.

I don't want ANYTHING from Apple.

Alienware is damn pretty, but too pricey.

How do y'all feel about HP? THIS computer in particular...

My other option comes from PCVonline.com and is THIS computer...

Expert opinions greatly appreciated!!

hp is good and i think they are afilated with acer id go with acer b/c they dont waist there time advertising and they use great parts hp is a great choice to

i use a aspier 3680 with a ram upgrade got it for 300 and the 2 gig ram for 100 so its not to bad i had a prossesor that i through in it but it came with a 1.86 ghz single core now all i have to do is get vista off it and ill be set :p

Build it yourself.

If that isn't an option due to expertise or laziness, find a buddy who will build it for you in exchange for some beer or something. You'll get a much better machine guaranteed.

i payed 600$ for my acer...

4K AMD 62x2 (kinda slow i know)
2 gigs DDR, have 2 slots open
250 Gigs split harddrive
128 graphics
6 channel soundcard
DVD/CDRWR

included vista and norton for life...

thing runs pretty smooth and cool... with heater cranking even lol, and the case is nice =]

im not joking shes a bitch i want her to leave but she pays 1/2 of the rent so i cant kick her out and were not going out any more :p
