[News] Streets of Britain Far from Safe

Recently, news reporters of the DNN relayed information that local shop owners and local citizens from the city of Britain are struggling with an onslaught of theft. Thieves seem to be running rather thick recently in the town.

Until more information unfolds as to the location of the thieves or arrests are made, citizens are asked to remain indoors at night. While no injuries have been reported in relation to the recent crime wave, authorities feel that it is better to error on the side of safety rather than risk physical injury.

Lord Erich Brahm has not been contacted for further comment on this issue; however, watch for updates on this matter via the Demise News Network.

The hide out, possibly temporary, has been investigated and I'm now in hot pursuit of the other "location".

By the way, the bottle of liquor might be full but it doesn't mean it actually contains liquor

Re: [News] Streets of Britain Far from Safe

An undercover Demise News Network reporter took information posted from Oaks to the Britain Castle. Our reporter was able to pass this information on to Lord Erich Brahm and obtained the following comment:

If the citizens of this fine city have begun to discover a means at stopping this wave of theft, then please, I do encourage each and every one to further investigate the details of our city and report here any information that can be found. This may include an investigation of what lies within the city, speaking with locals, and even speculations of what has occured to turn up the undesirables. I will soon call guards together to deal with this matter and ask that the citizens watch the Light of Premonition as a means to know when I will be present to dig further into this matter.

While not much can be done at this point in time without more knowledge, rest be assured that once the citizens of Britain are able to take on this issue, it will not be an issue for long.

A broken sextant with the coordinates 13'30 could be useful indication of the hide out of the thieves perhaps ?

Came across this NPC the other day but wasn't sure what he was about until I saw this post, this is what he had to say:

I went through the brit sewers and found this, but I don't know the sewers well enough to know if it was there already:

It's definately something to do with the sewers but there seems to be nothing going on down there right now.

I think you overlooked a possible vital clue :)

Re: [News] Streets of Britain Far from Safe

okay I used the coordinates to try and find something related to the quest.

Ive tried 13 degrees North and south, and 30 degrees east and west in trammel. That gives a possible 4 locations. 1 of the 4 is of the coast waters of britatin, one is just east of britain outside town, one is west of britain somewhat near the brigands camp, and one farther north of that spot next to the mountains.

The three on land locations were all in a wooded area with nothing at all nearby. I also check all around the location in case it was some hole hidden behind a tree we were looking for.

Next I tried going through the sewers into T2A thinking it might be for coordinates there. 30 degrees east is off of the map, so only 2 locations of degrees west will work. One is just east of the ophidian spawn by some jungle trees, the other north just accross the bridge into the desert area of T2A. Nothing found in either case.

Re: [News] Streets of Britain Far from Safe

I investigated the sewers and the only clue is the camp that was already reported. No other suspicious things/people that my thief found in the area. The exit from the seweres takes you to the T2A close to the "13'30", but since the 13' 30'' could be so "huge" to cover (since we need also in that case the other coordinate), I think that's not the right clue. There were two maps (a waterstained one and a detailed one) at the camp, but none were having any marked location on them.

Re: [News] Streets of Britain Far from Safe

The maps seem to be of Trammel so i took the co'ords found in the sewers as being 1 half of the set eg. 13.30' north.
So i checked in Trammel runing north to south on a 13.30'W setting then north to south on an 13.30'E setting. I also checked east to west assuming the 13.30' meant north or south.
When runing north to south on a 13.30'west reading i found a bridge leading to an island at 125.30'N 13.30'W.
It seems to be full of dragons and the gates are locked with no obvious way in.
I'm not sure of the relavence yet if any.

I have locked down a rune to this location on the step of our shop if anyone wants to go and look.

well, both in Trammel main and Trammel T2A, I followed each of the 13'30 lines. All E,W,N,S; from all angles NE, SE, NW, SW; and even all available 13'30/13'30 cross sections.

Didn't find anything of too much importance, except three things;
Minax in Trammel, is it supposed to exist or not.

Orc Fort <NW> of Brigand camp falls directly in line with the 13'30 N line.

Orc Cave has Orc choppers and Orc Scouts within, but nothing else special. <I haven't been in here yet to know if those are new or not.>

As for the sewers, just that lil' ol' camp.

And how in tarnation do I talk or interact with the Britain townsfolk about the issue.

EDIT:: I see someone else just happened to find something...:S

Re: [News] Streets of Britain Far from Safe

THIS JUST IN:
One of the Demise News Network reporters was present this evening in Britain when a small group of citizens walked past escorting two rather curious and weary looking clerics. Out of curiosity, our report followed the group to the Britain Castle where the clerics sought council with Lord Brahm.

High Priest Darosang and Cleric Lyeoth introduced themselves to Lord Brahm and quickly explained the situation they had found themselves in after taking contract with an ancient dragon they named as Nyeth. The story was rather complex, ending with three clerics escaping with their lives from their home, with one being able to lock the portcullis locking the dragons inside long enough for them to escape. The third cleric took to the seas with a small group of fishermen while the two present this evening continued on foot. Each had made a pact that whomever reach Britain first would seek the assistance of Lord Brahm, using the key from the third cleric, named Olandoth, to gain access quickly into the establishment.

Unfortunately, the High Priest had a feeling that Olandoth had not gotten to Britain and that something bad had happened. Brahm, in agreeance with several of the citizens present, felt that the only way to assist the clerics in taking their home would be to find Olandoth, the key, and a map which was mentioned by the High Priest. Without the key, entering the establishment would be near impossible as the dragons would take advantage of the time needed to enter.

Citizens have taken up swords and are currently in search of Olandoth in order to retrieve the key. Brahm requested that he be informed immediately should anything be found and from there, steps can be taken to assist the High Priest and cleric.

Until that time, Lord Brahm has invited the clerics into the castle and is allowing them to rest after the long journey and medical attention will be gotten for Cleric Lyeoth as he seemed injured.

The DNN reporters are now on high alert in hopes to bring you the news as it happens.

drak and I were there 2 or 3 days ago and went out on a boat and killed some dragons from a distance .. hehe

I went back there yesterday to see if it was anything to do with this story but I was obviously in the wrong place when I checked my coordinates

Re: [News] Streets of Britain Far from Safe

Olandoth is dead, and the only way into the uncharted island is through the closed gate.
Olandoth's body seemed not to have the key within, so probably the thief who had the watered map and the coordinates might have found the ship wreck before we did and already has the key and other belongings.
During my investigation through Britain I discovered another clue... we need to find Vincent and talk to him, but unfortunatelly, I was unable to find him all around britain, like if he was hiding or dissapeared.

If the clue was as posted - 13'30, that is 13 minutes, 30 seconds. The degrees is missing.
