Tournament Schedule for 9/17/05
The weekly Tournament event for this week will be a 7x, 5v5 group PvP event, starting at 5pm Eastern Time.
- No magic/poisoned weapons
- No magic armor
Since this particular event is uncommon, here are some tips for for people who are thinking about participating but may not have done much in the way of group PvP:
- Try to have at least a couple of mages on your team. Cross healing is the only way to survive.
- If you are preparing to defensively counter another team's attack, be ready to tap your cure potion macro or double click the potion so that your team mates can immediately heal you. Practice your timing ahead of time.
- Also practice timing your attacks on big monsters like ogre lords. When several spells hit a target simultaneously, it makes it much harder for the other team to heal in time than if the spells are staggered out when they hit.
- Hybrids or Med Warriors are particularly effective in this area, because they can both harry the opposite team to disrupt spellcasting and keep their mana low by forcing them to blow it on extra heals or preventing meditatin.
- Pay attention to your stats. Some mages will draw out going back and forth endlessly buffing and debuffing eachother's stats. Just remember, those few extra hitpoints can be the reason you live or die.
