Tree Hack Troubles

Hi All,

So I just got back after a lengthy break and am trying to install tree hack...

1) I've tried reinstalling the game entirely.
2) I used Shinigami's client mods and downloaded/copy/pasted both the files (at separate times) into the main client directory (http://www.uohybrid.com/client-mods)
3) I also tried this website to get files for tree hack (http://mycobook.com/uo-tree-stump-hack/index.html)
4) I also downloaded and used UOFiddler
5) Additionally the results are the same with both Razor and UOSteam
6) My client is updated to the latest patch and razor is the latest razor version and uosteam is the latest version as well

And none of it has changed my trees to tree stumps. I'm stumped so to speak. Any help is appreciated... Thanks!

First of all, if your client is patched fully, then you must use the UOP version of the treehacks. Shinigami's UOP version is:

(For clients 7.0.24.0 and up.)

The contained artLegacyMUL.uop file must then be placed into your client directory, which is usually located here:

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Ultima Online Classic

If that doesn't change your client art, then it's possible a virtual art file is overriding your actual art file. In the client directory, look for a button at the top that says "Compatibility Files". This will take you to:

C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Ultima Online Classic

If you have another artLegacyMUL.uop file in there, delete or rename it.

If you cannot find a virtual art file, but the tree hack still isn't working, try running Razor/UOSteam as administrator. Make sure the "data directory" settings in Razor/UOSteam are not pointing to different art files.
