It is a good spawn for wands, problem is that you need at least one other person with you, since the stupid little mages cast like crazy on you, and down goes your tamer. Annoys me to no end, but great for wands.

lol aye definately a small group effort. I was there prolly a good hour with two others. Did just fine though.

You can just go to the ophidian temple with a provoker and get alot of wands quicker.
