Whats the best way to make gold on this server?

Hey, I've recently started playing UO for only 2 months now. I've got a bard as my main source of income, but I'm finding it very difficult to deal with reds/monsters.
What are better more profitable ways to make money on this server?

I would say for that class of character, your best bet would be to join a large champ spawn guild. I would post a searching for so and so guild in the recruitment forum.

A great way to make money is to make a tamer/bard in order to train mares and sell them for profits. A x7 gm mare can grab you anywhere from 500-700k per mare. There is a great forum post about how to train a tamer/bard in the templates and guides forum.

If that is more work than you want to do, another way is farming regs. You'll need a little capital for the initial investment of purchasing the bulk regs. But you sell the regs in bulk orders or in small bags on vendors you can turn a profit with little danger.

To farm regs I would have to be in a faction correct? the faction vendors are constantly moving. How would I find them? wouldn't I be at risk from other factions pk'ing me?

I kill savages with my bard. I just provoke them into massive battle royals and cast some blade spirits into the mix. Then I collect the tribal berries, make them into kin paints with my cook and sell them for 10k each.

You can do this at normal non-faction town vendors. Obviously you couldn't do this in a faction held town like britain.. but there are towns with no taxes that you can farm. You'll just make less profits than if you bought from faction vendors.

so how much can you profit a day, with about 8 hours farming?

I'm not really sure, maybe like 50k an hour? I've not done it for a while so I can't remember how often I get berries.

The reason I farm there though is because there are never any reds ever.

That a good way too, you just have to watch out for pks with nothing better to do.

i farmed with my tamer and multi cliented 3x escorts when i banked from farming.. i could make a 100k a hour atleast.. with farming,escorting, and selling the junk loots to the npcs

the only flaw in that is that you have to wait for some one else to kill them so a new batch can respawn.

You can also farm leather. If you can get 1-3k leather an hour...sell for like 7-8gp for a peice. Just have to have your spots picked out. You can farm cloth also and sell for 3-4gp and its really easy to obtain from sheep/cotton. If you dont wanna waste time. 20$ IRL money = 1 million, and you don't have to waste time

The sad thing is just spending a hundred dollars probably is the most economical way to do it, if you work out the numbers. Even if you don't have money to just throw away, how many hours would it take you to earn $100? How many do you think it would take to farm 5 mil? I'm almost tempted to do it, honestly. Still seems kind of pathetic though.

best way to earn is PVM stron monsters like ancient wyrm barlons ancient liches shadow wyrms dragons etc. You need to colect evrything from them all wepons wands skin evrything you can and gathere it when your bank is full of weps and armor yuo identyfi them leave the vanq and power wepons and inv lether armors to sell to player rest of that shit you sell to vendors in town. 8h of playing you can earn like 400- 500k
If your woried about reds you need to look a wile for good spots whit out reds i meet on my spots like one reds per few days and i kill kim most likly i havent seen a gang for a wile now

i see your point but when you will get some capital like few mil you can buy shit cheaper and sell whit profit. I once bought chimera for 3.9mil and sold it for 5mil whit some other extra shit i earnd that day 1.2mil just bank siting. or you can go play poker but the risk is high
