Patch notes for 22 December 2024

- Revamped Dungeon Treasure Chests (“a locked treasure chest”) completely
- All chests now have more than just gold, you will find a gem, weapon, armor and bone pile
- All chests have a chance to spawn random wands
- All chests have a chance to spawn recall/mark scrolls
- All chests have a chance to spawn rare items
- All chests have a chance to spawn bonus gold, which can be significant
- All chests now have traps (explosion, poison, dart traps)
- Traps can range from weak to deadly in power
- All chests now have a chance to spawn a treasure guardian
- Treasure guardians are minotaur’s, which can hit fast and hard
- Treasure guardians have their own chance to drop rare items
- A bug where Battle Wyrm Damage was using AOS values against players has been corrected
- A bug where Battle Wyrm Firebreath worked from 16 tiles away has been corrected
- Variable Carpet Deeds have been updated to include more carpet types, they are available in the store also
- Runic atlases have been introduced
- Can be crafted by a scribe
- Can be purchased at a runic scribe, found in Moonglow
- Runic atlases can be dyed with a Runebook Dyetub
- Runebooks copied with the Pen of Wisdom will now default to the 0x461 also
- Spiral Staircase Addons have been added, you will find them in the store for now, craftable at a later date.
- Animal Trainers will now have the improved pet claiming gump throughout the world
- The long awaited fix for the Animal Lore Gump is now in place
- Pet stats can only be increased out of combat
- Increasing pet stats will cause the pet to be completely healed as a reward
- Hybrid Metallic Pet and Ethereal Dye added to the store
- Hybrid Metallic Hair and Beard Dye added to the store
- Return of the Young Player System
- New accounts will be put into the Young Player system to ease their introduction to the server
- You can nullify this by saying “I wish to renounce my young status”
- Once you’re over 450 skill points or 80 hours in game, your young status will expire
- Young player tickets are provided, and will give players small rewards if completed
- Hybrid Beetle taming requirement dropped to 29.1 to match Giant Beetles to make them viable for PVP
- Rideable Packhorses now have proper sounds
- Rideable Packhorses now take fruits and vegetables as food
- Revamped Skillballs to a nicer user experience a new gump
- Revamped PVP Skillballs to a nicer user experience with a new gump
- Revamped Statballs to a nicer user experience with a new gump
- Revamped Pet Skill Potions to a nicer user experience with a new gump
Notes:
As dungeons are revamped with the treasure chests, they will now spawn more randomly to combat automated gathering.
