The more I think about it, the more I think the one champ spawn active at a time thing would be great. Scrolls and artifacts become more valuable causing much more fighting over spawns and battles would move around and not all take place in Despise. The need to work as a team would increase exponentionally when you can't solo spawns in a forgotten corner of T2A or run Barracoon in the middle of the night.

I completely agree with you guys regarding how things SHOULD be done.

But just through observation, it's clear that it simply wasn't working. Fixes sitting around for months or even years. YEARS!!!! lol

I agree the ball of yarn has no relevance to things like champ spawns or faction stuff, was just trying to point out the enormity of the job.

I'd rather everything was fixed as it should be in the correct order, but it's been proven to not be possible. Or the rate at which it was happening should I say.

But this is off topic a little, and I really don't want to get Ryan's thread lich lord'ed :eek: He'd own me so bad lmao.

As psz said though, this seems to boil down to the ML quests system, if that came in it would help a lot.

How about some simple flash backs to the past?

Spell clothing items. Let us have at a romp for 1 week for these items and cut them off. Remember folks those awesome clothes you could get as random loot with charges?

Invis ear rings, hats, cloaks etc. Amongst other spells on these items. Could bless them too. While worn you would have perpetual charge usage for a set amount of time. 60 second use for 1 charge and if kept on they would use the next charge after set timer. I miss those so much and they are not on demise. =/

Ranger/ pheonix armor ? Totally useless. But its just some of the oddball items we never had here.

I think the old items from osi's history should be added to our shard. The last big event did some extra special awesome nature by adding a bunch. I really felt the good vibes from OSI's good old days =D

Yes, this exactly. Of all the possible changes, this would probably be the one that would ACTUALLY increase PvP on the shard. I don't think it'd do much to raise the price of artifacts (we already have 'em in circulation, and a lot of Trammies will just farm Ilsh spawns) but it would help rebuild the crumbled scroll market... And yes, it would certainly help take the PvP out of Despise and where it belongs: places all over Felucca.

Wrong. Retarded. No Point System should come before the AI.

TLDR: I've spent about 20 hours of my life doing doom gauntlet bosses, and yet till today, not a single artifact was ever given to me. Idk what some people may think (actually I do, "20 hours taht's not too bad compared to me") but 20 hours to me taht didn't result in any sort of reward (besides taht one nice 1/3 brace I got two days ago) is not fair.

pff, 20 hours? Most of the players in this shard spent a lot more than you did, and nobody is crying like u're doing.

I'd be happy with ML things being fixed and finished. First of all monster AI. Make the spawns there challenging right from the start.
I'm seriously about to bang my head off the wall from reading all the Gauntlet Point System posts. Take a look when it was done on OSI. Right about the time of Imbuing. As much as I'd like to see Imbuing it'd have to come with everything else that came along with it. So lets please get ML done before messing with things from SA.

TLDR: I've spent about 20 hours of my life doing doom gauntlet bosses, and yet till today, not a single artifact was ever given to me.

I have about 200 rounds without a single drop, that's 100 hours or so. Other ppl say they have a year playing here with the same luck.
Sad, really Sad.

I walked in with a friend.
Day 1: Friend got an artifact. A couple of hours later he got another one.
Day 2: I got an artifact (arcane shield, my very first one!)
Day 3: Friend got his third artifact.
Day 4: I got my second one (Jackal's collar)

...I spent many hours in there, did many rounds, but sooner or later you will get one :p I have 0 luck in game (and usually -20 luck IRL, as I've seen again today, haha xD). I don't understand what the fuss is about. Yes, it is frustrating if you do many rounds without getting a single artifact, but if you stop right there, you will never get one - because I got both of my artifacts when I was drowning in frustration xD That's how it is.

The point system was introduced in 2008 long before they made the jump to SA. It was added right after the mag invasion and before all the faction changes.

Those are the dates yeah. I was just pointing out that it did come before SA. I could care less if we get it or not I like the guant the way it is now besides the weak AI. I think it should be done in order and not just random. The first thing to be fixed should be all the major issues we still have from before ML like the champion spawn stuff. Then once there are no major issues left with SE, AOS then the quest system and the crafting system should be applied then worry about all the little changes that happened through out the four years of ML.

That would be a nice idea if people commit to the coding and testing, but as Xavier has pointed out and myself in a previous thread that got locked it was this approach which caused no movement in the fixes. So lets try go along with Xavier and staff on this one and look at implementation of new content with an on-going fixing basis if/when things go wrong. Otherwise we could find ourselves stuck in a rut on Demise.

Ps. I'm not saying that I think you are wrong on the ideology of carrying it out in a processed manner. It's just that, well it hasn't been working given that this is not a business environment.

wouldnt fixing casting be the first thing up? its very messed up and it affects every caster on the shard. it would be nice if magery took a little timing instead of just spamming with macros. i vote aos bugs first then se then ml. when things are done out of order you end up with greater dragons killing everything. then a gm doesnt like them so they make them invisable themselves. now we have retarded greater dragons that invis themselves in a middle of a fight like i have never seen on osi.
