i agree to an extent.
if you win a pure mage duel than you're a better pure mage player- and can assert yourself as better with spell play(hopefully) or spam(pick your poison)
winning the duel shouldn't assert you as a better pvper; cause what decides the better pvper shouldn't be a set up situation with rules. The best pvper is the one that uses there surroundings, teammates, character's skills and other factors the best and wins on the field where people aren't restricting themselves.
