UO Lingo

Q:What is a banksitter? A newbie? A rez killer?
A: A banksitter is someone who sits at banks usually britain bank. These people usually stand there with blessed items , while either afk or to chat or just to show off. A newbie is a new player , or someone who doesn't know how certain game mechanics work, it can also be used to insult a player. A rez killer is someone who kills a person over and over after being ressurected.

Gameplay :

Q : What are some important facts about looting?
A : Looting the corpse or bones of an Innocent will flag the looter as a Criminal. Looting the corpse or bones of any of the following will not flag you as a Criminal :

- your own corpse
- your Aggressor (if someone attacks you and you kill them, you can loot their
- corpse without being flagged)
- Criminal
- Murderer
- fellow guild member
- rival guild member

Gameplay :

Q : Suppose I walk into a clearing and see a corpse or bones. How do I know if I can safely loot it?
A : The name of a corpse or bones will be colored the same way the name of the player was to you when he died. (grey if Criminal, red if Murderer, etc.)

Gameplay :

Q : Exactly what action will flag me as a Criminal for looting?
A : You will be flagged as soon as you attempt to drag any item within the corpse or bones, regardless of where the item ends up.

Re: KB Contest Submissons

Gameplay :

Q : What actions will summon guards in town?
A : Any action that flags a character as a Criminal. The guards must be called within 15 seconds after the crime is committed. Note that NPCs can call guards so sometimes it may seem that no one witnessed your crime but there is probably an NPC nearby.

Re: KB Contest Submissons

Gameplay :

Q : Can I attack other characters in town?
A : Any non-Innocent can be attacked in town without guard intervention. When attacked, characters are allowed to defend themselves against anyone who is flagged as an Aggressor to them.
Innocents can also be attacked in town but doing so will flag you as a Criminal (meaning guards can be called) and an Aggressor (to the Innocent). If the Innocent dies you can be reported as a Murderer.

Gameplay :

Q : What is UOAM?
A : UO Auto-Map (UOAM for short) is a supplement to UO's radar map. You could call it a kind of GPS for UO.

Feature List :

- Works with all versions of Ultima Online including Third Dawn.
- Allows you to link with your friends and keep track of everyone's location in the game.
- Lets you chat with your friends while you play.
- The map can be oriented with North at the top or tilted 45 degrees to the right just like UO's radar map (only better).
- The map can be zoomed and resized.
- Any location on the map can be labeled and categorized.
- Labels are configurable: choose any icon, font, size or color.
- You can define your own categories.
- Places can be grouped and stored across multiple files.
- Labels can be turned on or off as a whole or by category.
- Find any spot on the map by name or by category.
- Keeps the map centered on your player, just like UO's radar map (only better).
- Super easy setup. No extra utilities to run. No special codes to enter.
- It's legal.
- But best of all it's free!

Screen Shot :

Re: KB Contest Submissons

Gameplay :

Q : How do I work the stat locks?

Stat Locks
In an effort to give players more control over their character’s stats a stat management system has been implemented. Each individual stat, Strength, Dexterity and Intelligence, can be set to either one of these three options :

- Locked
- Set to Raise
- Set to Lower

You can only gain in a stat if the stat has been set to raise and there is room for stat gain. A character that is below his maximum stats level (as displayed on the character status gump) always has room for stat gains. A character that is already at the maximum stats level will need to set one stat to lower in order for another stat to be able to gain.
