it isn't broken! you just used it wrong. random number generators need to be given a seed value.

If no seed value is provided it will consistently return the same "random" number!


What do I win?
 
The answer is non determinant.

Getting the same number doesn't prove it is in fact broken, since its purely based on probability, but getting the same number doesn't guarentee it is working either since the only way to know this is me getting a different number.
