Mine used to be Vesper, then it was Skara, but now I'm lazy so it's Britian.

Cove for me personally. It's quit, it has a bank, a healer, a field, and a dock yard. Love it.
I'd say Vesper and Minoc are tied for second.

Skara. Its the most efficient town with a bank, moongate, stable and mage shop within 4-5 screens, it has every building you need and is a faction town. Plus being an island and having the "cross" thing is tight. It was a cool place to pvp on OSI, it never had mainstream action like brit, bucs/yew/brit gates but if you were looking for smaller fights it would provide ;p

Serps. Hold was my favorite back in the day. When I had a newbie tamer on OSI before the followers limit, I'd tame about 10 horses and sell 'em all off for small change and get major gains.
It was a nice little starting point for the newbies...
Other than that, I like Delucia. Great for taming and getting wool for aids and such. Frenzied Ostards ftw XD I also like Britain because I like big crowds.

once upon a time moonglow was great for collecting hides too, and lumberjacking

For fun, Delucia, pvp and pking galore.
For privacy Serp, no crowds ever.
I love Jhelom, Skara, Glow as well.
Yew is good for privacy, but is so spread out and lacks in shops.

I like Cove. My first ever UO house was right next to Cove and I spent alot of time there and made friends with all my neighbors and we would just hang around cove talking about random shit and then we would invade the orc fort and make sexually obcene emotes directed at their corpses. Good times.
