ALERT: Serpent Eggs Surfacing Across Britannia! & Veritas Update

Citizens, beware! Ancient Serpent Eggs, pulsating with an unsettling energy linked to the Guardian’s dark influence, are emerging from the very soil! Lord British commands all able-bodied adventurers to gather these potential threats before they hatch! Failure could spell doom for us all!

Simultaneously, the Royal Mages offer rewards, desperate to study these eggs and counter the encroaching shadow.

Event: The Serpent Egg Hunt

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:

HUNT: Track down Serpent Eggs (Grey, Green, Red, Purple) hidden across the realm. Danger lurks, especially where the rarest eggs lie!
DEPOSIT: Secure your findings at the glowing Egg Collection Crystals. Drop eggs or entire Serpent Egg Baskets onto them. Your contribution will be noted.
DOMINATE: Check the Leaderboard Gump at the Crystals. Crush your rivals by accumulating Points and racking up the highest Total Egg Count! Glory awaits the best!

Know Your Enemy (and Opportunities):

Dungeon Hotspot & Boss Alert: One dungeon becomes the epicenter of egg activity every 48 hours! Seek higher spawn rates and the only source of Purple Serpent Eggs within its depths! Beware: During this time, the dungeon’s usual guardian is replaced by a formidable Serpent Boss! (Listen for announcements or ask a Town Crier for the active location!)
Crystal Veins: Miners, bring your pickaxes! The active dungeon exclusively holds unstable Serpent Crystal Formations. Harvest them for precious Serpent Crystal Fragments!
Obscured Loot: Prepare for a challenge! To counter automated looting, the Serpent Boss’s treasure will be disguised upon its defeat. Manual inspection is required!
Gear Up: The Serpent Egg Basket holds more eggs, and the Serpent Egg Indicator pulses near hidden ones. Essential tools for the serious hunter!
Listen & Beware: Townsfolk gossip about the event. But be warned… some NPCs seem unusually… festive. Don’t be shocked if a snarky guard pelts you with Confetti!

Event Store Update:

Visit the store to find new items related to the Serpent Egg Hunt!
Remember, almost all items available in the store related to this event can also be earned through gameplay during the event!

Gameplay Update:

Creature Leashing: All creatures now adhere to a 15-tile leash. If they pursue beyond this range, they will return to their spawn area and reset aggression. Plan your encounters accordingly!

Veritas Patch Notes:

Fixed an issue with the Animal Lore gump displaying incorrectly.
Resolved a rendering problem where art with black backgrounds was not handled properly.
Restored standard functionality to Ctrl + Mousewheel (this was previously being used for internal zoom testing).
