How to make a Tamer in 2 days.

you will want to start a new one. i think if you wait 7 days you can delete the char and just make a new one. unless you still have the space for more then its not a big deal. but you will def want to make a new tamer. taming is always first.

i can GM taming in 2 and a half hours.
go to the mephasist champion spawn, find a good little hill so you can teleport up on it (make sure nothing can reach you), get your tamer up and ready, get a macro for taming alagators, when ever u start running out of alagators run around with another character and lure them to your tamer, once your get around 72-76 start taming bull frogs, so the same till 92-94 ish. then tame swamp dragons. all you need is a single rock in a good area, then u got yourself a tamer in 2-2.5 hours

Pretty decent guide.
From someone who only plays tamers (I have 4 accounts and 17 characters with taming - even my thief has taming!) I would highly suggest taming at Trinsic bulls.
At 50 taming tame around Trinsic moongate (or Moonglow moongate to avoid aggressive spawn).
Once in the high 60s or low 70s run to Trinsic bulls and tame the bear spawn there until you have 4 bears. Kill any lower level bears remaining (ie. black bears or brown bears) so that grizzly bears spawn. Once you have an army of 4 grizzly bears start taming bulls. After each bull tame release it, kill it with your grizzlies, and repeat (you'd be surprised to see how fast 4 grizzly bears take down a bull). Easy!
*Remember the bears won't always listen when you're in the low 70s so remember to feed them with the meat you cut up off the dead bulls.

75-GM Great harts/bulls in papua followed by giant toads in the bog swamp to the east. There's a ton of toads and no one's there so no need to fight over bulls in Delucia. Since you're doing taming as a first skill you should be running around butt naked anyway, if you die just run to papua, res and tame a new ostard just outside

When you say you ran around Yew, where do you mean specifically? I'm running around the entire Yew area and see nothing more than a couple dogs and smaller things.I did the taming bit yesterday 50-GM in about 4-5 hours. And this is more or less what I did:

Simply go Trinsic East. The animals there are enough to take you to 70 level without running around.
Well, I started at the empath abbey sheep pen and ran SW. Kept running into bears and hinds so I just ran around in a big circle (basically from first sheep pen to second, to town and then back to the first pen) and I found tons of animals...
East trinsic = barrier isle? I tried outside the town, starting from the MG, but there's too many monsters.
Anyway, 7x'd my peace tamer in less than 3d. Shouldn't be a problem to do it in less than 48h if you don't do more escorts than needed to get gold for GM magery/resist. Also, I think I GM'd vet using less than 3k bandaids. Don't run around looking for sheep like I did, cotton fields are awesome

I mean exactly east of the trinsic city. From trinsic bank run east, cross the bridge, tons of bear, bull, etc.
Or use the runebook outside [NEW] guildhouse. Recall to 50 skill (forget exactly the rune name) in the tamer training guide runebook.

Well its about 21 hours into a grind to make a nice char on here and here is where im at.
Lucky i won about 300k at poker so im set for gold. (I played poker for 2 hours)
So my macrouing time for taming was around 4-5 hours and magery/med/resiste 13-15hours
100.0 taming
100.0 med
100.0 mage
93.0 resiste
0.0 animle lore
0.0 vet
0.0 evel intel
So the hard parts done and it only cost me id say 10-15k for all the reags.
And LESS THAN 24 hours OF Taming and magery macrouing. + playing poker

First off, great guide! It really helped a noob such as myself. One other thing I may add would help someone who is starting off "brand new"
Jhelom is "ok" place to start, but i suggest a city that has a stable. Why? because I couldnt find a stable in Jhelom! lol and even if I did 1k would not buy me a horse to begin with! it was like 2k+.
Other than that problem and buying regs, go to delucia regs are 4g a pop. Try to make friends with people, people on UOGamers are so helpful! S/O to Robbie Triebell, SiCcMade, and Obelix!
So far GMed Taming, Magery, Magic Resist, and now working on Peacemaking/Music. pretty good gains considering at 400 skill marker. I wish I had a better macro for peace, I check the razor macro thread, but peacemaking was a tad bit difficult for me to understand so i just made a simple one timing is off so its just spamming the hell out of peacemaking lol.

Just used your guide. Top hole mate. Obviously there is no Papua now, but I was able to crank up to GM just using Yew bears - Yew Grizzlies - Trinsic bulls. Piece of cake. Macroing magery now, and it's flying along, and dragging resist with it. I don't know how anyone can bitch about slow gains on this shard. Mind you, I was really struggling until I read the bit about locking everything and working the tough skills first. Cheers!
