PVE/last man standing battle (Sun Oct 3 3pm GMT-5)
So we have planned a PVE battle. This is going to be PvE, last man standing. You will all be broken up into four groups and placed into four separate rooms. These groups are NOT teams, you can kill anyone anytime... it doesnt matter to us one bit.
From the first room you are placed in, you must make your way to the center area, where all who survived thusfar will meet up. Last man standing wins - sort of. But, just because you ARE the last man standing, doesnt mean you will definitely win; there is one more challenge for you.
Anyone who dies will be automatically removed from the arena area to a room with an event healer, where you can go on to watch, or leave.
If no one succeeds, we will run it again next week, and so on, until someone manages to survive this.
The reward is worth it, if you can pull this off. We are going to provide an event healer, but make sure your items are insured anyway, as this is in felucca, you could be looted, etc.
All notoriety and templates allowed, but no pets and no mounts. All spells, summons, etc are allowed. Anyone mounting an ethy or summoning a pet with a petball in this game is disqualified and will be removed. To prevent this, we will check your packs and bank your ethys, and petballs for you if you have one. We will provide stable masters as well.
Spectators will be allowed.
Date and time to be announced shortly.

This is planned for Sunday Oct 3. 3pm EST, and the battle will ensue at 4pm.
Here's what we are going to tell you about the tournament.
We will open an event gate at 1pm EST, and announce it. You will have 1 hour to join. We will also provide a location in felucca for reds to join in.
When you enter the event area, there are two options; 1) enter the spectators area and watch, or 2) enter the contestant gate to enter. We want everyone ready and there 15 minutes before 2pm, so we can collect entrance fees. Right. There will be entrance fees. A check for 10000gp will be due upon entry. This entry fee will be added to the prize, as well as other items we chose to put.
We will split you into groups, based on OUR IDEA OF BALANCED groups,,, this is non-negotiable. We will pick the groups. In the end the groups are irrelevant anyway as only one man/woman/child/it can win.
Once you are allowed into the arena area, you can kill whatever/whoever you like.. there are no combat rules and the teams are disposable.
If there is no winner, the checks stay, and the next weeks entrance fees will also be included: thus a cumulative pot. We may also add an item or two each week as well.
We really do not expect a winner the first time around, but you never know...
Once everyone still alive has made it to the center area, and there is one man standing, we will give him/her their choice of one of three keys. This key will open one of three chests. You can guess the rest. Two of the chests are deadly, one is a winner. If you die, you are OUT, just like the rest of the competition. This contest may actually go on for a long time, but the prize will grow and grow and grow... so the longer it is not won, the more it is worth.
Additions:
When (not if) you die, you will be moved automatically to an event healer area. The event healer will fetch your belongings from your corpse, but since this is pvp ruleset, someone could possibly loot you before you res. INSURE YOUR STUFF. You have been warned.
The PvM aspect of this will be gauntlet style rooms which you must progress through. IF you are not in the room, when it is completed (ie you stayed behind to hide), the doors will be locked on you, and you will not be able to progress - you will be disqualified. (CHANGED) If you move into another accessible room with the mobile to kill it, and are not in the correct room when your mobile dies, you will be able to proceed, but only after you kill another standard monster to re-open the doors. The doors will only reset once, so after killing the set-back mobile, you will be free to move through those doors.
Each entrant will be checked for pet balls and ethies, and a banker and stable master will be provided. Ethies and tamed pets are grounds for disqualification, so just cooperate.
You WILL consume resources, reagents, and insurance. This is not set up like a tournament area.
EDIT: The time has been set for the sign up process to start at 3PM EST with the event to start at 4PM EST, this seems to be, on average, the most popular time.
