What's the status of this?

If I don't hear anything in a few days I will set it back to coder needed.

I'll take it over.However I questions.( sigh as always :p )

I see 2 containers in the screenshot will it spawn more than one container?
What will be in those containers?
So current camp types are Lizardmen,Ratmen,Brigand and Orc? Any other that I don't know of?
What are the camp type specific items?

It's generally a firepit near the center
There is a treasure chest (Locked, does NOT require a key, picking will work)
There is a box or crate of random size (doesn't contain too much, don't remember if it's locked)
There is a prisoner near the center (Noble/Seeker of Adventure that spouts the various statemnts until you get within two tiles of them, at which point they become a normal escort)

The ratman, orc, and lizardman camps also tend to have a "grusome standard".


There are Ratman, Orc, Lizardman, Brigand and Gypsy (On OSI there are two types of gypsy camps: The ones we have now, with the carriages, and one similar to the other camps, but no prisoner)


Also (and this may already be in), you get Double Compassion points from Prisoners than normal NPC escorts.

Firepit or caldron or the firepit with the dead animal (any of the three, it seems)

I'd have to double check, it's been since AOS that I actively went prison hunting

They make comments about being chained, but I THINK you can just walk up to them to free them. This is easy to test, as there's a semi-permenant Brigand camp in Ilsh.

From what I recall it's one to the south, though I THINK I've seen some camps with as many as three, on the outter edges

The gypsy camps we have NOW are correct. The "Firepit/Open Area" gypsy camps are just gypsy NPCs with a treasure chest and a box. No vendors. Basically, they're the same as a brigand camp but no prisoner, and not hostile.

Dunno yet. And the crates can be barrels, FYI


Also, on OSI, you have to accept the escort quest to free them.

Since we don't have the quests,I guess we should add the unlock thing to escort accept sequence.So does it still say *Chains are unlocked* thing after accepting the quest?

No, just click them and select "Accept Escort". Same as any other escort.

Ok they will not be able to move around because they are tied to ground.( i.e CantWalk = true :p )
When someone accepts to escort them they will be able to move around.


Also what is the approx. size of a camp?

The best I can tell you is based on the pics I already posted.

It's ROUGHLY the size of a 800x600 game screen (not sure the tile count there)

Ok then Lockable chests are in now.As for animals are they corpses or skinned goats and such? Will they spawn too if the camp is Gypsy?

My current camp structure is one file which contains 5 types of camps under one name.Is this ok or should i seperate all them into their own?

Some areas spawn ONLY gypsies, some areas spawn ONLY Orcs. Some spawn ONLY ratmen, etc.

So, however you can allow that.


If you're referring to the fire-pit when you mention aanimals, I think there's actually a graphic for a cooking animal. Lemme look it up.
