sometimes hop 11 doesnt drop out at all, more than often it does, but in game ping goes from a normal 100ish ping to 200-300 minimums...help...me ;(

I'm just recently having huge problems with lag on uogamers and there seems to be a connection here.

I've seen "alter.net" fucking people and this "209.173.128.70"

I've been getting bad lag since the server move too. I don't know too much about networking, but it seems that I have a bad trace route:

On hop 6 and 10 there is 100% and 2% loss. This does not seem to result in a terrible ping for me, ~65 overall, but I am concerned about the potential loss.

I dont know but its annoying the hell out of me, I dont mind 100ping at all(which is what my trace says my avg should be) but whatever that ip is makes the game unplayable and gives me min pings of 300... I get outran on horse by people on foot, I hope they get this resolved =( I only log in now to check and see if the loss has stopped

i use to ping around 300 until i installed a modified windows now i ping around 30-40

Not as bad as my connection. But i still ping about 30~50 ingame. It all depends on your computer at some point.

This is the thread for this. We don't need multiple threads regarding lag, especially considering it is usually out of the control of server/admins. If someone can advise you, they will do it here just like they would in a new thread. Instructions to traceroute are in the op. A traceroute will show you where your connection is being held up.
