I can ping your closest next hop at about 250ms reliably, but 209.173.128.70 *never* pings reliably for me. It's just crap. 166ms is just about as good as your going to get, and there's probably nothing really wrong for you since you didn't show any packet loss to the end point.

It's an anomaly when you're doing a trace through that hop, the dot 70. It does that even when everything is running great. I *have* seen some nasty packet loss pinging straight to login.uogamers.com intermittently tonight, not consistent. Versus my continuous ping to 4.2.2.2 that runs all the time with 0% loss for a 30 second interval, I had about 8% loss 5-10 minutes ago. My last several 30 second intervals were fine, though. Gotta love intermittent service degradation.

Mara, I also ran a 30-count ping to your next closest hop. Your latency sucks on a few responses, but I also had 0% packet loss. In all likelihood, if it doesn't resolve shortly, it will probably be fine in the morning. It's like forecasting weather. Maybe there's a 1-2% chance of rain tonight (temporary disconnect), if that.

Looks great; your ping to the server is actually lower than mine. If you're getting lag, it's going to be caused by your pc or configuration, not a network issue.

Those are nice. I ping number 12 at 295ms and number 13 at 79ms. For some reason, it appears that your packets are taking the ass-end route of the end of the world to get over to North America.

Is this your home network, a business, a university, or something else? What kind of connection is this, DSL/Cable/Wireless? It looks like your performance is immediately screwed before you even leave your country :(

So, since you never replied, I didn't open a helpdesk ticket with your ISP's upstream provider, and I can't troubleshoot further without more information. If you like, please open a new thread to document our troubleshooting process publicly or PM me.

I see nothing with your traceroute that seems to indicate a networking issue or anything beyond your computer. The issue is most likely with your software applications, system resources, system configuration, or hardware failure. You should attempt to determine which applications are sucking up your CPU time and I/O resources that lag up your UO client. If you are not comfortable with this, you should consult a local PC technician. PM me if you have any questions.
