  • 1 2d is the way UO was in 1997 and it is how it should remain.
  • 2 2d characters don't look like giants
  • 3 and so on
  • 4 and so on
  • 5 etc etc

2d client


1. My computer sucks and it runs much better than 3d
2. Its old school, the original, and some people are more into that
3. It looks much better, Im here to play the game, not stare at awkward looking fancy graphics.
4. My outfit just doesnt look half as l33t in 3d :D

Really, I just like the smoothness and the feel of 2d.

1. looks better
2. lags way less
3. 3d people and pets look rediculous

I voted 2d

1. 3d IS 2d, just with shittier graphics tbh..

I like to think of 3d as a game like...WOW or something. Where you can move around your character and see him at all angles. But if UO were like that, it wouldn't even be UO.

2d, because I tried 3d once and didn't like it at all. Plus, it runs better, especially when Firefox is sucking up half your RAM.

I run fast as hell on 3d. Too bad I can't see my characters FACE

i think it's cause i cant patch, i just get that error applying patch message.

can someone post their 3d login.cfg file?

i like 2d because:
1. Runs smoother. my comp is old as dirt, like the UO graphic =p
2. Graphics make more sense and don't "mix" into other graphics as much.
3. yes, i have sentimental attachment to the old style
4. 2d doesn't have many bugs anymore.

reasons I hate 3d
1. isn't really 3d. just a "shinier" version of 2d.
2. is really really buggie. almost unplayable.
3. reuires to much ram for my poor ol comp. in brit bank my comp nearly comes to a stand-still.
4. the movements of monsters are jerky, and their sprites (skin) look to jagged.

reasons I like 3d (theres a few)
1. nice lighting
2. cool looking spell effects

but thats not enough to move away from old school UO

my comp can run 16 clients of 3d all campin champ spawns,

that's right

i still get kicked after 30 seconds though :( even though my client is 4.0.0+
