Because psychology books rule.Or just trying to understand other people, what they think and why the do certain things - that rules.Makes you think, consider someone others` opinion.In the end you`re supposed to realise, that your opinion or point of vew can`t be better than someone other`s - it`s just what you think.So, it brings you to some kind of humility.
I`ve been playing a villain for years in UO - I kinda learned what it feels to be fu**ed in teh ass, and to f*ck others in teh ass, by looting their houses or killing them afk.

But ya, it`s hard for a trammy to understand such things.
