Upcoming Changes Tonight (1 September 2014):

  • Remove Gate and Recall into Dungeons
  • Remove Gate from Dungeons while still allowing Recall From Dungeons
  • Remove Gate Travel while in Heat of Combat
  • Added [drinkcure - Drinks Greater Cure Potions (Only GreaterCure)
  • Added [drinkagility - Drinks Greater Agility Potions (Only GreaterAgility)
  • Added [drinkheal - Drinks Greater Heal Potions (Only GreaterHeal)
  • Added [drinkstrength - Drinks Greater Strength Potions (Only Greater Strength)
  • Added [drinkrefresh - Drinks Total Refresh Potions (Only Total Refersh)
  • Added [poppouch - Looks for a magically trapped pouch in your backpack and opens it

bad idea.....

first one discourages dungeon activity
second one incentives house hiding and zerging

if a noob cant recall from a pk in a dungeon, a noob will not enter a dungeon....
if a small group cant gate out from a zerg, a small group will not pvp.....

I don't think this is the best idea ... I think it will discourage dungeon hunting. It's a huge pain in the ass to run to level 4-5 of a dungeon, make 10k then have to run all the way out and repeat every 10 minutes. Would be even worse with a tamer having your pets attacking everything you walk by.

It would be terrible for the noobs to the shard who are trying to make money farming. All a pk has to do is sit by the entrance of a dungeon and camp and get ready to smash the people going in/out of the dungeon which (for noobs) will be really discouraging. PK's wouldn't have to go searching through the dungeons, just sit and wait at entrances.

Just my 2 cents - hopefully testing helps see how it would affect things. I don't even know what is wrong with having people able to recall out now, if you're in heat of battle you can't leave... and I agree with the second point "Remove Gate Travel while in Heat of Combat"

One other thing... I just tested it - a player can carry 20,30,40,50k of gold np np

Would Love to see the motivational items needed to make me run all the way down lvl 4 hyloth...

Lets toss out some ideas:

Hybrid Hides? Hybrid Mares? Runic Kits as rare drops deep in dungeons? Runic Hammers deep in them? Theres tons of stuff it could be :)
 
Few points if the dungeon change is made:

1. Add a stable in each level of dungeons, that way you dont have to make tamers run all over with their dragons, imagine running from deceit level 1 to the last level by the lich lord room with your dragon... could be pretty boring, even if the loot is worth it.
2. I wouldn't put MANY drops on monsters, but I would increase the loot, why? Simple... we already have enough items in the world, tamers NEVER been the richest peoples in the game (besides facepump, who spent a LARGE time into taming), but theres way many better ways of make money... Faction reg selling, IDOC, poker, etc... Tamer, I think, for most of us, been in the last last option of making money, if so.
3. I see good point on making that change in the side of pks, since they wouldn't be able to recall in on alts if they die, or to gank, so that could actually be a good move.
4. Bad side of it, is if a noob dies in dungeons, he wont be able to recall with another guy and gate himself out, and it will eventually give dismotivation to a new player keeps on.
 
Oh and champ spawns? New "Bosses"? Various reward types?

I would release non pvp Power Scrolls, that would motivate the economy, creating pvp into dungeons + opening possibilitys of making new changes (new rides, new monsters with more difficult, etc).

I like the idea of no recalling in dungeons. Would definitely be fun as long as it was rewarding for the players to venture into them. I'd love to pvp in dungeons, but unfortunately if the rewards aren't met to match the risk for the tamers then I don't know how effective it will be.

Also, more than one exit will be needed. Having 10 guys chill at exits waiting would be stupid. Maybe a teleporter system?


What I would like to see are the puzzle boxes deep in a dungeon with 30k gold or so in them with their normal respawn timers. That way, I don't have to be a tamer to make money and I'm still risking having to fight my way out. Also, with the various traps on them they are quite fun.

Lets next try not having to clear hands before using potions so that full melee characters aren't shafted while mages don't have to care.
