How do I join a faction?

Find a Faction Elder in any major city—these imposing figures in faction colors replace the old join stones. Speak with them to learn about your chosen faction's ideology, current war status, and membership benefits. Once you pledge allegiance, you're locked to that faction for the season duration. Choose wisely—betrayal is not an option.

What happens when my faction loses a town?

Defeat stings, but it's not the end. You'll lose access to favorable prices at that town's shops, face hostile militia guards, and watch enemy banners replace your own. However, this creates opportunity—retaking a lost town provides massive faction bonuses and personal rewards. Use the Resolution phase to regroup, then strike back when the town becomes Available again.

How do faction rewards work?

Every action earns Faction Tokens—complete missions, participate in wars, defend territories, or eliminate enemies. Spend tokens at Faction Representatives for exclusive gear that can't be obtained anywhere else. Your faction standing (rank) determines access to higher-tier rewards. Additionally, when your faction controls towns, you'll receive passive silver income from taxation and exclusive access to special merchants.

Can I participate without PvP?

While The Fractured Realm centers on faction warfare, non-combat players are vital to victory. Run courier missions in safe zones, complete PvE defense objectives, gather intelligence, craft supplies for your faction, or manipulate the economy through strategic trading. Every contribution matters—wars are won by logistics as much as swords.

How long does the season last?

The Fractured Realm runs for approximately 3-4 months, with wars cycling continuously throughout. At season's end, the faction controlling the most towns is declared supreme ruler of Britannia. Special end-of-season rewards, titles, and commemorative items are distributed based on individual and faction performance. Then, the realm resets for the next great conflict.
