Anatomy is the study of physical bodies, providing crucial damage bonuses for melee combat and essential synergy with healing. Masters of anatomy can strike vital points for maximum damage, heal more effectively with bandages, and assess an opponent's physical condition at a glance. A cornerstone skill for warriors and healers alike.

Anatomy Mechanics

Active Use

Examine any creature to assess their physical attributes.

  • Range: 8 tiles from target
  • Skill Check: 0-100 difficulty
  • Margin of Error: 25 - (Anatomy ÷ 4)
  • Anti-Macro: Enabled (5-tile memory)

Information Revealed

Basic Assessment:

  • • Strength level (STR ± margin)
  • • Dexterity level (DEX ± margin)
  • • Physical condition rating

Advanced (65+ skill):

  • • Stamina percentage
  • • More accurate readings
  • • Lower margin of error

Passive Benefits

  • Damage Bonus: Increases all melee damage
  • Healing Bonus: Improves bandage effectiveness
  • Passive Gains: Skills up during combat/healing
  • No Active Use Required: Benefits always active

  • 75 Anatomy: 3.75% bonus
  • 100 Anatomy: 10% bonus
  • 120 Anatomy: 11% bonus

Alternative Formula (Legacy)

Legacy System:

Alternative damage scaling system provides different bonuses
  • • 1% damage per 5 skill points
  • • +10% bonus at Grandmaster
  • • 100 Anatomy = 30% total bonus
  • • Much higher bonuses than AOS

Higher anatomy provides better healing results

Example Healing:

  • 50/50: 20.5-24 HP
  • 75/75: 28.4-32.5 HP
  • 100/100: 36.5-44 HP
  • 120/120: 39-47.3 HP

0-30: Character Creation

Start with Anatomy in combat templates

Warriors, Paladins, and Healers get starting Anatomy

30-50: Active Training

Use Anatomy on players, NPCs, and creatures

Move around to avoid anti-macro (5-tile memory)

50-80: Combat Training

Passive gains while fighting with weapons

Every weapon hit checks Anatomy skill

80-100: Healing Synergy

Bandage healing provides passive Anatomy gains

Train both Healing and Anatomy simultaneously

100-120: Power Scrolls

Use power scrolls for 105, 110, 115, 120 cap

Each point above 100 adds 0.1% damage

Wrestling special moves no longer require Anatomy (removed in Publish 21).
