Wrestling is the art of unarmed combat, allowing warriors to fight effectively without weapons and providing crucial defensive capabilities. Master wrestlers can disarm opponents, deliver stunning blows, and maintain combat effectiveness even when disarmed. In pre-AOS, wrestling offers unique special moves unavailable to weapon users.

Disarm

Force your opponent to drop their weapon, leaving them vulnerable.

Requirements:

  • • Wrestling: 80.0+
  • • Arms Lore: 80.0+
  • • Stamina: 15 points
  • • Hands: Must be empty

Success Formula:

(Wrestling + Arms Lore) ÷ 200
  • • 80/80: 80% success
  • • 90/90: 90% success
  • • 100/100: 100% success

10-second cooldown between attempts

Stun Punch

Paralyze your opponent with a devastating strike to vital points.

Requirements:

  • • Wrestling: 80.0+
  • • Anatomy: 80.0+
  • • Stamina: 15 points
  • • Hands: Must be empty

Success Formula:

(Wrestling + Anatomy) × 3 ÷ 800
  • • 80/80: 60% success
  • • 90/90: 67.5% success
  • • 100/100: 75% success

4-second freeze duration • 10-second cooldown

Defensive Capabilities

Defense Without Weapons

Wrestling provides defense when unarmed or disarmed.

  • • Used for defensive calculations when no weapon equipped
  • • Allows dodging and blocking without equipment
  • • Essential backup skill when disarmed
  • • Works against all attack types

Mage Wrestling Formula

Alternative defensive calculation for mages:

Defense = MAX(Wrestling, (Anatomy + EvalInt) ÷ 2)
  • • Capped at 120.0 in pre-AOS (even though cap is 100)
  • • Allows mages to have defense without wrestling
  • • 100 Anatomy + 100 Eval = 100 defense
