Maybe I'm just suspicious...but did the BOD percentages change in addition to the nerfed rewards?

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but out of the last 20 BODs, 18 have been iron, one was DC and one was C. This is certainly statistically possible, but...

Can you please repost the percentages?

It used to be a 50/50 chance to get some crap iron BOD or some color BOD. Then the colors themselves had percentages.

50/50 for color vs. iron??
I wish. Chances of getting iron have always been wayyy higher than getting colored ore....but unfortunately i have no proof to back this up, just experience

Sorry...I should have checked the code to refresh my memory. It's 50/50 for Armor/Weapons, then if you draw Armor, the following table came into play:

0.501953125, // None
0.250000000, // Dull Copper
0.125000000, // Shadow Iron
0.062500000, // Copper
0.031250000, // Bronze
0.015625000, // Gold
0.007812500, // Agapite
0.003906250, // Verite
0.001953125 // Valorite

So the chance of getting plain iron is 50%, once you've drawn armor. You are correct that the total chance of getting iron junk is 0.5+0.5*0.5 = 0.75, or higher if your smith is less than GM.

I'm still curious if the color frequency table was changed.

I have seen a huge increase in CBDs and even saw a barbed sewing kit. hehe.

I am assuming the bod patch is for both TBOD and SBOD. I have seen there is a LBOD for Weapons now do you have more details or a spot to research more info other than just ingame collection and cashing in?

not to sound selfish but I dont want to turn in bods without knowing what I have a chance of getting. hehe

Hey Mark, I really appreciate you making Runic Sewing Kits... But how about you make them do something? I just made a full suit of Horned Leather Armor using a brand new Horned Runic Sewing Kit... and 16 AR... Regular sewing kit Horned Leather Armor has 16 AR as well...

From what I can tell, all of these changes are just a disguise for NERFING Smith BOD rewards. I'm guessing he got pwned by a blessed Val Hally in factions and decided to have his revenge :)

Well, as far as I know Mark doesn't faction. But Verite is the highest level weapon that can be faction blessed. I personally have a verite runic hammer, and I owned Krrios with it quite a few times, but maybe... mayyyybeeee... But I think it is just a plan to nerf the Smith BODs... Agapite hammers were getting too common. But in doing so he made Polar Bear Rugs lose their rarity overnight and made High End Tailor BODs give out 3 absolutely useless rewards. But people asked for a change to the BOD system, so I guess they reap what they sow, and now doing BODs will be Gambling.

Thanks for the clarification about faction weps. Mark seems to be constantly concerned with manipulating the economy. His Lich loot nerf is still the single biggest detriment to pvp (or at least dungeon pking).

The BOD Reward nerf is just plain annoying. Aggy hammers were going for 4 Mil, so they weren't that prevelant. I think the faction blessing thing is an issue, and it's always going to be an issue until it's removed.

I don't know who added the stam loss change, but that's another change that's been a pain. Now everyone has to have red pots and a hot key to chug.

I wish he'd forget the economy and focus on what's fun. Change fishing because the seas are dead. Beef up loot for liches and spawns and draw people back to the dungeons. Dungeon loot needs to compete with BODS and Poker.

Man, you just reek of positive feedback. You MUST be that guy who's never happy. I'm in the dungeons all the time, I don't hunt liches, and everything else's loot is just dandy. Stop complaining cause it takes 1 hour to make 100k instead of 10 minutes.

You had one positive contribution to the server in the suggestion forum as the fishing/sea changes. Alot of it was crap, but the general idea was decent.

Other than that, you're a louse.

Thank you GMs and dedicated Server Admins. I like it all. Instead of bitching i'll just be thankful that you all continue to work hard to bring me a fun, relaxing, and free escape from the riggors of irl.

You do have a point here and I echo your thanks to the developers in general. As for calling me a louse...yer a village idiot.

FYI - The dungeons are empty. I ran through Shame...top to bottom...the other night, and with the exception of one guy in Gazers, it was empty. Then I ran through Deceit, top to bottom, and with the exception of a guy banging on the mummies (was that you?) on level 1, it was empty.

My point is that loot should be increased to draw more people and stimulate pvp. I don't care how much someone can make in an hour (the economy is a non-issue to me). I care that people are drawn away from poker tables and bank-sitting in Brit & Del. Adding good loot to Elementals and Liches would do this.

There's an element of risk for farming in a dungeon, and the relative reward isn't there. I think at any given time, there are more people farming green thorns in fields and doing escorts on multiple accounts than the total number of people in all of the dungeons. It's risk vs reward...not just loot per number of hits. I'm not surprised you don't understand this.

As for the recent changes, some of the tweaks are cool. But the BOD changes are a total nerf for many of us. I hope you enjoy your 1337 weapon LBODs.
