SVN 1003 Update (February 2nd, 2013) - Quests

TL;DR We have ML quests now!

Over the past few months we've been testing the ML quest system on the Demise TC (link). Today, we're adding it to Demise!

It doesn't include all quests yet, but we figure this'll be faster for development in the end, and you'll get to enjoy what is done in the meantime.

Some notes:

• We have disabled some quests that are incomplete or not working as desired yet. Most notably that includes the Sanctuary and Heartwood crafting quests.
• The Spellweaving access quest is now in, and you will need to complete this before you can cast arcane spells again, even if you already have the skill! The same goes for the Summon Fey and Summon Fiend access quests.

And for everyone who has been waiting for this, yes, you can now change your race through the intended quest!

You will find the questers that are currently enabled spawned and ready to go when the server comes back up. If any issues arise, please don't hesitate to page us in-game or post below.

Also, a big thanks to Athena for adding quests like a maniac. Athena and I will continue to get the remainder of the quests done as well.

I like the fix. dont get me wrong. But you just screwed over every spellweaver that was farming tots if tots still remain on until sunday.

Oh Also. Does this mean that red's cant do race change, part of the race change quest is in ilshenar.

As per UOGUIDE

Murderers' option: As Red characters cannot visit Ilshenar, another option for completing the quest has been provided. You can escort any captured prisoner you encounter anywhere to complete this step of the Elf to Human quest. ***

Arielle can also be found at the Felucca Sacrifice shrine, I'm not sure UOGuide mentions that.

If you mean they wont have their skill or spellbooks.. it was intended to leave those untouched.

Edit: Yeah they told me theyll have to do the quest to allow them to use it. Those are short and easy, and everything else remains untouched.

After a very short discussion, we are going to let TOTs and CuB both run through Monday night, instead of through Sunday night. Anytime I feel like it Tuesday morning, it will be deactivated.

I don't make a habit of complaining but you gimped my main and made my weaver bots useless as they can't complete the quest unless I train them further.

I don't make the rules but I play by the ones you provide. You shouldn't retroactively require multiple quests to access skills you have had for years.

Those quests are easy. But, we've all known it was coming. Everything but those quest completions stay. The original plan was to even nuke the books and return the gold - that idea was ditched. You're also not losing the skill points - I know its aggravating, but if you just do a few quests, it wont be aggravating anymore. There is no perfect solution for this, the damage was done the day it was put in incomplete.

But, if it makes you feel any better, Ill load Eos bank box with landmines and pumpkinbombs?

Its a transitional period, work together .. get a couple people to park a bot at the arcane circle. You guys will work it out, you always do.

You can pull the quest up in your paperdoll and cancel the quest.

Okay so apparrently I need to patch more (I can't see the mushrooms) what a mess. thanks for the new content i guess :/ I think I'll play my sampire for now hehe (unless i need to do a quest now to play him also)

Thank you for all of your hard work, guys! I enjoyed both of the quests I tried... they were quick and relatively easy to complete. One question. Since the update, I've been seeing what appears to be the things people throw into the CUB barrels go flying across the screen in Luna. Is this some new feature I wasn't aware of or am I glitching? Either way it looks a bit strange. XD
