Demise has been updated to SVN 676. Please let me know if you see any of the fixes on this list that did NOT get applied for some reason, or any problems that may have arisen as a result of these changes.

Some corrections are made to the champion spawn replicas and related code. Essentially, this list of changes covers it:

yeah right. I tried 3 times to refuse to commit this one, but 3rd time was no more of a charm than was the first. oh well.

Choosing stuff I know... (and not including the ones already in SVN)

From easiest to most problematic:

  • Spawn Timers Fix (ie reduce the 15m ones and raise the 7m one) - I believe this does not require any coding and can be done ingame.
  • Valor Fix to solve spawn chaining exploit
  • Replicas Fix to tweak the Shared Rewards distribution (to make all spawns worthwhile and increase the difficulty of obtaining Sash)
  • Active Spawn Fix to force Valor use to start non-active spawns (I know there are other Altar/Candle/Spawn fixes - this one just seems the most important)
  • NPC Vendor Prices Fix (putting this in there because I know a lot of work has already gone into it)
  • Insured/Blessed Items in backpacks (might reduce irate pages ... ;))

and...

  • Monster AI Fix (or even just Gaunt AI Fix to start with) :p

spawn times. 100% ingame tweaks. we are already started on this.
valor? maybe a candidate. Ill check it out.
replicas drops have been discussed, but we need more accurate data then uoguide+stratics which dont even try to agree
not sure what youre saying about valor / spawns.
Vendors will take the entire week, and then some. good near future project.

Ya. I can see that is a problem. I was thinking that maybe adding the RGSK to Semi (which both agree on) would halve the Sash drop rate. Adding the MKP to Mephitis rather than Semi would provide interest for a spawn no one does (and both sites agree the MKP drops from 3 existing spawns). I know this takes us back to the "good enough" debate...

not sure what youre saying about valor / spawns.
Only one spawn should be active in Fel/T2A at a time. The others should require Valor to activate.

I still need to check some things concerning the balance on the exc. and color chances. Furthermore, Xavier's "no trial and error"suggestion does not work as the new exc. chances depend on the skills, which he did not consider. However, I will have some time next weekend to finish the final things that remain, I hope.

Hehe. The patch thats still in ready was malganis, I think. He used core mods to make this fix, hence it never got put in because, well ... core mods werent needed. My version has actually been on demise for 6 months or more already. Dont believe me? Go suicide with a bag full of BODs in your pack. :p I dont know which way is worse, tbh. Having to pick up a bag off your corpse, or having to cope with the mess my patch makes. But, the mess is accurate !! That other threads needs to be moved so it stops confusing people.

Ill have a look at the champ spawns as well, then. Thats very doable.

As for data on the replica drops: I could probably guess and be more accurate than UOGuide, and the wrinkled, furry, green thing in the back of the fridge is probably fresher than any stratics info.

Its a lose-lose situation there.

1. Artifacts drop % increases as u kill more instead of flat % drop.
2. Items u are wearing when u die auto equip when corpse is gotten.

I don't know if these are options but those are the ones I got.

1) This is not a bug. The way our gauntlet works is exactly correct, if you go back a few years. This is a missing feature / routine change. I want to fix bugs that are causing players a lot of problems, right now.

2) this is simply out of date features as well. This was changed sometime after the AoS publish.

So I guess the spellweaving spells that don't work in the book are a missing feature ...I guess people will be more concerned with a hags stew that is now edible than some silly minor missing spellweaving spells. :(

As for bugs Monster AI would be my choice but as mentioned not a quick easy fix.

Oh....how about fixing the Guild list to see who is online? Damn thing's still back to front! ;)

Pont. The stuff committed in that big group of patches, was already coded by other people. I can only speak for myself here, and I can only give/promise away MY time, no one else's time. Simply, I was trying to get some good idea what the playerbase would like fixed in the next few days - by me.
