The Noxious Maze
This Sunday, May 23rd will be a Maze Event.
If you participated in the Amazing Maze, you have an idea of what to expect (although this maze is bigger).
Basically, the object as a playerbase is to free the rare items from the Maze.
As a player, you want to escape with as many as you can find and keep.
[strike]I do not have a specifc time set for the event to begin.
I'll update this post when the time is definite.[/strike]
The maze will run sometime between 1 pm and 2 pm EST
It will end before the scheduled Champion of Brit. so interested players can participate in both.
Given the type of event, I'll have an official 'closing' of the maze in which no more prizes will be given or found in the maze. The maze might remain open longer if late players express a desire to work their way through.
Here is a little information about
The Noxious Maze
Like before, the Maze is divided into two parts.
Part I
Part I is divided into 6 different areas.
Each area is made up of four sections.
Each section is made up of multiple halls.
Maneuver your way through the halls. Locate the (correct) invisible teleporters to move from section to section.
All movement from one section to another is by teleporters and almost all teleporters are invisible.
Some teleporters lead to dead ends.
You are able to manuever through this part even if your dead. If you die during this part, continue on. You can resurrect at the beginning of Part II
Find your way through all the sections and you have completed Part I
TaDa!!
The reward is....
Part II!!
Part II is made up of an Island Grid, 10 Islands wide by 8 Islands deep.
Movement through the islands is done by way of teleporters.
The teleporters will move you to:
All Islands have tiles to the resurrection area.
It is often indicated with a bandage.
It is always indicated with this symbol.
The resurrection area allows you to resurrect and restock from the bank in safety.
To return to the Maze, choose one of the telepads surrounding the area.
To leave the Maze, take a blue moongate out. Leaving this way forfeits any prize claim.
This is the only location with bank access in the event.
Only dead players can access this area.
The end of the Maze is indicated by the brick Exit tiles.
By using this tile you have completed the Maze and exit the event.
The first (XX) players to complete the Maze will receive a limited time prize.
The other symbols on teleporters might mean something specific.
It's up to you to determine any patterns or hints they might reveal.
Monster/Treasure Chest Islands have telepads that will return you to where you left off in the grid.
Some creatures are your friends
Most are not.
Sea creatures want to eat you.
PvP is allowed in this event, as is thievery and looting. 'Normal' rules apply. If you attack and kill someone, they can count you. Looting someones kill will count as a criminal act, etc.
No pets are allowed although some maze creatures are tamable for the event. You cannot take them home.
There are many items available to be obtained. You must get to the end with the item(s) to keep them. You might want to come with a friend.
In a nutshell: Islands, hallways, teleporters, monsters, treasure chests, killing, frustration, confusion, rage, death, rares
Did I mention anything about the poison?
